With his film Revision of Memory, Hubert Czerepok aims to evoke the same feelings of fear and uncertainty in the viewer, as those experienced by the first set of prisoners being transported from Tarnow to Auschwitz on June 14, 1940. Inspiration for the film came from the cyclic events known as the “Train of Memory”. It was based on the fact that the people who survived the trauma of Auschwitz had to take the same route back, as the one that they had taken to get there.
